FAANG set — Pro and Career
Ledger serif
Print-first readers and quietly formal applications.
Set in XCharter, a serif designed for small sizes on ordinary paper, with small-caps headings over hairline rules. It is the template to pick when you know the page will be printed — Charter was drawn for low-resolution output and holds its shape when a resume is run through an office laser printer and handed round a room.
The rules are deliberately thin. Heavier ones, as on Bold ruled, divide the page into blocks and suit a hurried reader; hairlines separate without interrupting, which suits a reader going line by line. Combined with small caps rather than full capitals, the effect is formal without being loud — appropriate for finance, government, research groups and anywhere the house style is conservative.
It is slightly more generous than the rest of the FAANG set at 0.55 inch margins, which costs a bullet or two and buys a page that does not feel packed. Written in-house for ResumeX: one page, single column, conventional headings, real text throughout, nothing in the margins. Reserved for the Pro and Career packs.
